Details & Highlights

Overview
Despite common beliefs that consider Dubai the capital of the UAE, however, this title belongs to Abu Dhabi. As Abu Dhabi was the first motor of development in the region, some of the most iconic structures have been created in this city. Qasr al-Hosn is the first stone-based structure created in this city. As time passed, the building became a landmark, and many tourists chose to visit it as a tourist attraction. Rumors date the structure to the 16th century, but the written letter shows that the structure was created in 1761 by Mohammed Al Bastaki. Qasr al-Hosn's entrance fee on most websites is 30 AED; however, at Dojoin, we have considered a discount for our members. The best time to visit the structure is at the Qasr al Hosn festival, where all the traditional ceremonies are held. Now, if you are interested in finding the most profound history of Abu Dhabi, click "get the ticket" and follow our guides.

Highlights

Qasr Al Hosn's history is heavily glued to the culture and life of ancient Arabs. The ancestors of modern UAE knew that the usual architectural methods wouldn't work on the island due to high humidity levels, so they decided to use a stone-based style. The result of this idea was beyond imagination, and even today, the structure is one of the best buildings in the region. Qasr Al Hosn's timings are flexible, and when you book the ticket, you can go any time you desire. The facility opens at 10 am and closes at 10 pm every night. In the Al Hisn neighborhood of Abu Dhabi, near Abu Dhabi Corniche, you can find Qasr Al Hosn at the Rashid Bin Saeed Street crossroads and Sheikh Zayed The First Street. There are a lot of buses that stop nearby, and there is free parking in the underground garage.
